surah al-maida (V), part of verse 112 to verse 120; surah al-an’am (VI), verse I to part of verse 4; surah al-Imran (III), part of verse 193 to verse 200; surah al-nisa’, verse 1 to part of verse 4 Arabic manuscript on paper, 2 leaves, 11 lines to the page, written in large text: script in black ink, verses separated by gold florets, recto of each with an illuminated marginal roundel marking the fifth verse, verso of each with surah heading within an illuminated panel, one in gold ornamental eastern Kufic script, the other in white thuluth, margins ruled in blue and gold 31.7 by 28cm. approx.
